We currently offer models to fit virtually all metal alto, tenor, and baritone mouthpieces. A soprano version is under development!
We have sizes to fit all hard rubber alto mouthpieces. At this time, we are developing a model for hard rubber tenor and baritone.
Each Saxgourmet ligature and cap is beautifully gold plated
Twin parallel rails assure that the pressure on the reed is evenly applied so that response throughout the range is perfectly even.
THE HEAVY DUTY CAP NOT ONLY PROTECTS YOUR MOUTHPIECE, BUT IS ALSO VENTILATED TO ALLOW THE REED TO DRY QUICKLY AND COMPLETELY TO AVOID MOLD AND MILDEW.
THE LIGATURE IS KEPT ISOLATED FROM THE MOUTHPIECE TO ASSURE A FIRM AND VERY EVEN PRESSURE ON THE REED.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE SCREW BE BALANCED SO THAT THE PRESSURE EXERTED ON THE REED IS ABSOLUTELY EVEN. WE ADD A WEIGHT FOR THIS PURPOSE. THIS ADDED MASS IS A UNIQUE FEATURE FOUND ON NO OTHER LIGATURE.
