Where can I buy blanks? I would imagine there are sources in China, if only one can find them. There are a lot of Chinese sellers on ebay. Maybe one of them will sell good stuff in small wholesale lots. I bought one tenor mouthpiece from China on ebay. It turned out to be unusable even as a blank. It was made of soft plastic, and crudely malformed.
Will anyone help me out?

I've been looking for usable blanks for a while too... I am based in EU and .could only find some blanks in Germany ..but they are to pricey .
 I am looking for HR and or metal blanks.

I bought that combo a while back. The mouthpiece is pure junk, not at all suitable either for playing or as a blank.
 

Unless the mouthpiece was grossly asymmetrical, I don't understand why 
it could not be used as a blank. I have purchased some cheap Chinese 
plastic mouthpieces, and yes, they don't play well - not at all!
But they certainly can be refaced or have the chamber altered.
