There has not been any discussion to my knowledge about the importance of a neat, organized and clean workshop or area.  Keeping the rubber dust out is important for the respiratory system.  Organizing the shop so the tools that get the most use are within reach as well as keeping categories or similar groups of tools or compounds together all makes work easier and less stressful without searching.

Of course you are logically correct in this - as the old saying goes-
A place for everything and everything in it's place.

Only wish I could follow it myself....

I do have just one nagging feeling - that when I have visited /seen the workplaces of some of our countries very finest repairers their benches usually look like a tip.

I'm not advocating this - just observing!!
