Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere on this site (I didn't see it anywhere other than
a link on the links page for "surfcoat") but what are some options for bite plate material? I'm
curious as to what Sugal and Johannes Gerber use, mainly the clear blue and other colors as
well as their unique textures. Also, for standard pieces like Links and Bergs, is that just a
small piece of Delrin? Thanks in advance!

I've cut a bite plate out of the side of a cup that belonged to a shattered
"Thermos bottle" (a vacuum-insulated flask). It's a very tough plastic,
presumably also it's "food grade", fit to go in the mouth. It had the right
curvature as well. Used it to repair my Ponzol M1.

Go to the site Messages and Search on the word "Bite" or "Bite Plate",
etc. Hit "Next" as needed since they only give a page or so of hits
at a time.
