SUBJECT: Vintage Selmer Soloist and Old HR Links
Hi, first of all thanks to all the people who helped me in finding the old missing E. Brand refacing curves. Now I have another question... recently I bouth some long and short shanke vintage Soloist Mouthpieces. They are original with a C* tip. I would like to open two of them up to the corresponding 7, 7*, 8 and 8* (in the Link notation). What's the best facing curve for these easy to blow and beautiful sounding pieces? Moreover someone has the original curve for 8 and 8* Hard Rubber old links? I would like to put it on my new HR Link... Thank a lot in advance, Dan

I put a new spreadsheet in the Files - Tenor area. It has curve for Tenor Links from size 5 through 10*. These are calculated curves, not from measurements or manufacturing specs other than the tip openings came off a chart. I gradually lengthened the facing at the tip goes up. Enjoy.

Hi Keith and thanks for your curves. Are they calculated for metal or hard rubber Link mpc's? Dan

The curves should be fine for any material. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
