Anyone know what this refers to on Meyer mouthpieces?  I have some 
ideas but wonder if anyone here has the real scoop.

Lapping is a method by which something in faced.  I.e. milling, 
sanding, etc. 

Would it refer to a diamond grit sandpaper or a diamond sanding 
direction, like an X-pattern?
